- Using a search engine-44%
- Participating in chat rooms, discussion forums - 23%
- Telephoning over the Internet - 12%
- Using file-sharing programs (P2P) - 13%

I personally strongly considering the fact that less than half of Poles can use the search engine but almost one in ten can create Web pages

Internet in almost every Polish company
Already 95% of Polish companies use computers, and more than 92% have access to the Internet. Every fifth company uses Linux. As far as households are 41% of them have access to the networks - results from a report presented yesterday the Central Statistical Office (CSO).
CSO Research on Internet use in enterprises has been carried out on a sample of more than 14 thousand. companies in which the number of employees is at least 10 people.
Research shows that 95% of businesses use computers and 92% have access to the Internet. Over half of firms have broadband access. 35% of employees in companies using computers at least once a week and 26% of the Internet.
As for software, every fifth company already uses Linux (most are large companies). A similar percentage of companies using software to manage customer information (CRM). 13% of companies use the systems to a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP). Interestingly, up 64% of companies claim that contact with the public administration through the Internet.
CSO also noted a marked increase in the area of internet commerce.
For the first time this year examined the use of business e-invoicing (e-invoice) and digital signature when sending an electronic signature applied 17%, 7% - receive electronic invoices, and 3% - sending electronic invoices. Also in this area dominated by large companies.
Households
Investigating the use of modern technologies by individuals conducted on a sample of 8300 households. The data show that 54% of households have computers and 41% access to the Internet. 30% declare that they have a broadband internet connection. Nearly half (46%) of people aged from 17 to 74 years use the Internet regularly. 39% of people are regular Internet users.
The study also shows that the main reasons for the lack of Internet at home is no need (41%), high equipment costs (32%) and the high cost of access to the Network (31%).
Frequently encountered among the Poles is to use search skills (48%), sending e-mails with attachments (35%) and participate in chats and discussion forums (23%).
